The Prophet

The Prophet

The Prophet
Khalil Gibran

Summary

One of those books I'll re-read multiple times because you always take something new from it. So much timeless advice

For more info, see here

Notes

When love beckons to you, follow him, through his way are hard and steep

Your joy is sorrow unmasked, when one is up the other one is asleep

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding

You talk when you cease to be at peace with your inner thoughts and in much of your talking, thinking is half-murdered

Be in your pleasures like flowers and bees

Though in the winter you deny your spring, yet spring, reposing within you, smiles in her drowsiness and is not affected
