Apr.14.24 - Day 2023 - Be where your hands are

‘Want to know the secret? I don’t mind anything that happens.’ Powerful words from Krishnamurti. So much insight in that statement. Let everything come as it’s supposed to. Don’t expect anything because you don’t know the future. You have no idea what will happen next, as much as you think you do. Keep expectations low. Don’t attach yourself to any outcome or desire. Let things come as they do and leave as they do. Once you let go of everything that happens to you, you begin to enjoy life more because you’re only caught up in the present moment. Not before. Not after. Only now, the only moments that exists. You’re reminded of it every so often. It was a moment this weekend for me standing in the middle of Yonge Street listening to an amazing street singer while watching a Palestine protest that was going on in Yonge and Dundas square. Standing there listening to beautiful music while the protested leader discussed Israeli and Western propaganda with the sun shining down on you. Accept the present for what it is, not what you want it to be. Enjoy where you are, not anywhere else other than where your hands are. Be where your hands are.
