Day 1278 - Mar.28.22 - No one sees the dark days

No one sees the grind. No one sees the dark days. No one understands how much you’ve had to work in complete silence trying to get a little better every day. They only see the wins. The triumphs. The victories. They assume it was easy. But they don’t know. They don’t know how hard this grind is. To become successful, you must stand alone during certain moments. Even when no one else believes in you. You must keep working. Keep trying to make marginal improvements. Figure out a process that works for you and stick to it for years. Show up even when you don’t want to. Show up even when you’re tired. Show up after the 100th failure. Keep going. Keep conquering the master in your head feeding you other people’s doubts. Do not internalize them because they’re not personal. It’s easier to be negative than positive in this world. It’s easy to doubt someone. But you don’t know them. The greatest in history understand how much time and effort you have to commit every day. For every success, there will be multiple failures and bad decisions. It’s all part of the journey. The grind is what makes it all worth it.
