Day 770 – Day 265 Q – Nov.30.20 – Chart your own path

Chart your own path. Don’t get too caught up in what other people are doing and how they’re living their life. Ultimately a lot of your life will be determined by you. By the choices you make every day. These are not choices that you make for other people and some choices are out of your control. A lot of people make choices based on pre-conceived ideas or previous experiences and they continue to trust these choices even when it leads them astray. Take every experience as a new one and something to learn from. Don’t be afraid to jump into the unknown because that gives you enough diversity of experience to help make you better decisions. Sometimes though you have to have enough conviction about your ideas and who you are, that you have to go all in. You have to look fear in the face and say ‘f*** you, I’m not scared of you.’ I know I’ve gotten this far by confronting fear so just keep going. It takes a long time to get to that point and you still have to confront it in many aspects of your life. But never let fear take hold of you, especially other people’s. Their opinions and perceptions of what you should do is purely based on their own bias and experience. But those stories don’t hold true anymore. The world is a much different place where the internet has decentralized a lot. So go chart your own path, walk your own journey. It’s more fun that way, plus you’ll live a life that seems like a dream. Focus on yourself and what you want out of life, and then go make it happen.
