Just keep doing you. Keep living your truth. Keep writing even when you think other people think you’re nuts. Even when people disagree with what you’re saying. Never let them stop you. Never let other people silence your voice. Speak your truth the way you want to do it. Live life on your terms. Create the life you want and don’t worry about the critics. They’re people on the sideline who don’t live your life. They didn’t take the risk. They didn’t enter the arena. They’re not willing to put in the time, be honest with themselves and the world and tell the truth. They’re scared. They’re the cold timid souls who neither know victory or defeat as Roosevelt said in the man in the arena speech. It is not the critic who counts. You did the work. You’re doing the work every day. No one else is doing that so keep working. Keep putting in the time. Remember, quality is subjective, quantity is not. The more you write, the more your writing compounds. The more you’re writing compounds, the better off you’ll be in the future. More opportunities will come your way. But it takes time. Long periods of time with no success. Be ready for that. Those moments are when you’ll see what you’re made of. Do the work. Keep doing the work. The process is what gets you to the top, the grind. Keep reading. Keep writing. Keep showing up for yourself.
