Ask more questions:
Ask more questions.
Ask better questions.
Don’t believe what you’re told, even if the world is telling you.
Investigate for yourself.
Understand the biases and opinions you’re being pushed.
Come to your own conclusions.
Find your own truths.
We’re in an age where disinformation travels faster than the truth.
Problem is much of the truth is getting labeled as disinformation.
By the same people who want to control the message.
Who want to control what we can and cannot say.
Do not let them.
Do not let counterarguments be silenced.
We need thoughtful disagreement to advance society.
Not everything that exists today will be true in generations after us.
To innovate, we need people who push the boundaries.
Not only what we thought was possible but also what we believe to be true.
You need to listen to other people, especially those that disagree with you.
Instead of judging, ask more questions.
Understand them.
Listen to where they’re coming from.
Understand and try to objectively evalute both sides of an argument.
Listen to their arguments, understand their perspective then make your own opinion.
People are good, want to do right by their family and are trying to survive.
They may have a different set of beliefs than you, but that doesn’t mean they’re wrong.
Maybe you’re wrong.
Investigate the truth, whether you believe it or not.
And don’t be discouraged if it disagrees with your old beliefs.
You’re allowed to change your opinion.
You don’t have anchor your opinion on a single issue to an identity.
People are complicated.
We have a lot of different opinions on many different issues.
Just because I swing liberal on one issue doesn’t mean I have to swing liberal on all issues.
You’re allowed to be nuanced.
You don’t have to be part of a tribe.
Yet social media today has pushed us in this direction.
Politicians have leveraged this power to continue to divide while they and the ultra-elite continue to control all of us every day.
Pushing their agendas and changing the laws in their favour to benefit themselves and corporations.
It’s not left vs. right, it’s everyone vs. the ultra-elite.
They want to divide you.
They want to pick a side and fight while they actually change the rules in their favour.
They don’t want you to ask questions.
They don’t want you to think for yourself.
They don’t want you to rebel against the current system.
Which is why we must.
Humanity only advances with thoughtful disagreement.
With individuals collectively understanding and pushing for change.
To do that, we must first ask better questions.
To do that, ask more questions.
