Day 639 – Day 133 Quarantine – Jul.21.20 - Listen

Come from a place of understanding and perspective and that will always make the other person listen to you. Guess their life in so many ways, because most people are not that abstract, and then chime in with your experience and opinion. People want to listen to you but only if you listen to them first. Ask out of the box questions because the more unique you are, the more people will remember you. Remember, listen. Really listen. Stop being judgemental and condescending. It’s easy to do it with your friends but it’s very hard to do it with your colleagues and people you don’t know. You must truly listen and understand someone before deciding. And breathe. Take a deep breath. Even today, you got upset and you could feel the rage and anger building inside you, particularly this feeling of revenge. Relax & think about that emotion/feeling. Control it and think again if it’s worth acting on. Revenge can be sweet sometimes but only if carefully thought through and not malicious. Listen to people and understand how you play a role in some of those situations. Keep listening!
