Death is always on your doorstep

Day 1360 - Jun.20.22 - Death is always on your doorstep:

Death is always on your doorstep. You think you have a long life ahead of you, but you don’t. The future is uncertain and you never know when your time is up. We plan things months and years in advance thinking those things are a certainty, but they’re not. Covid showed the world that. Just when you think everything is normal, the world flips on its head and next thing you know your loved one is dying. Even though death is inevitable, we don’t want to accept it. We have the richest people in the world spending billions of dollars to extend their lives. Why? So their egos can get a boost and they can save humanity? Death is a natural part of life just like birth and everything that is born must die. I’ve been thinking about this more and more because so many decisions feel trivial. So many temporary emotions and stressors and perceived problems with family and friends are all useless. In the end it won’t matter so check your ego and be a good person. Be kind, help people out and do your best to find your purpose. Through that you may impact the world more than you can imagine. Even if you impact just one person, you’ve done your job. Always keep death front of mind because it’s a constant reminder to live a full and authentic life. Be yourself always and in all always
