Mar.21.24 - Day 1999 - Boeing is America

The fall of America is perfectly encapsulated in the story of Boeing. A company once admired for its commitment to craftsmanship, efficiency and an example of a great American company has ben thrown in the dump by MBAs and Wall Street CFOs who are more worried about the share price and their rich shareholders than the safety of their aircraft. Truly an unbelievable story where poor leadership and a commitment to pleasing Wall Street was more important than people’s lives. A company who tried to cover up 2 plane crashes by blaming it on the pilots rather than their faulty aircraft. One who prioritized cutting costs and paying their own regulatory representatives rather than a commitment to excellence and making sure you have a safe product. This encapsulates the decline of the American industrial base and ability to manufacture. China can build high speed rail and massive infrastructure projects in way less time and way less money. How does the US compete on that? They don’t. Companies like Airbus are now more valuable and trustworthy than a once admired company like Boeing. America’s decline has been on display for years for those who are watching and Boeing is just one example. America is falling.
