Day 869 - Day 359 Q - Mar.4.21 - Generic advice
You just have to write. Eventually you’ll come up with enough good ideas about the world and what’s happening. When the time is right, pounce on the opportunity. Challenge yourself to do new things and fail over and over again. To learn many disciplines and acquire a few skills. All it takes is commitment, dedication and practicing again and again. Show up for yourself. Hold yourself accountable to who you want to be because other people’s opinions don’t matter. Walk your own path. Be your own person. Don’t let other people’s expectations of you dictate your life. Make your own decisions. Bet on yourself and your ability to achieve. You can do and become whoever you want to be. You just have to put in the work, consistently over long periods of time. Never stop learning and believing in yourself. This advice is so generic and that’s why most people don’t want to hear it. They don’t want to do the work. They don’t want to put in the time and they’re distracted by all the noise in our world. The latest gadget or show or celebrity gossip is more important than doing the things they’ve always wanted to do in their life. Old people have so many regrets and when you listen to them, you only regret the things you never did. You never regret the decisions you made that were for yourself. You have to look in the mirror today and choose the life you want. Don’t talk about it, go show people how it’s done. Actions are everything.
