Day 729 – Day 224 Q – Oct.19.20 – Being self-aware

Feedback is always useful, just make sure you know who it’s coming from and how they’re trying to say it. If it’s from your family or workpeople, you need to listen. Everyone is flawed and makes mistakes every day. No one ever is perfect. But you can strive to be that. To learn and listen. Everyone talks about being self-aware but how self-aware are you really? Do you know all your flaws and how they can be improved? Definitely not. So go learn about them. Because the more you can learn about them, the more you’ll see your own blindspots. The spots of incompetence. That’s okay to have blind spots because everyone has them. Your goal needs to be how to decrease the size of them because you’re never going to eliminate them. How do you do that? Ask for FEEDBACK and listen when people are talking to you. It’s super important you learn these lessons now because the earlier you learn them, the less you’ll make mistakes. Failure is the only way to improve because if you’re always successful, you’ll always think you’re perfect. But you’re not, no one is. So just strive to be better every day.
