Day 49 – Oct.25.18 - Appreciation

I can’t believe it’s been 2 weeks since I’ve been here (Amsterdam). I remember adults talking about how once you start working, time just flies by. 2 months turn into 2 years turn into 20 years. I feel like I’ve already had the greatest time of my life, yet I’m still just beginning my journey. Amazing how perspective and time shapes a person and changes how they see the world. I don’t think that means that older people are necessarily more mature than young people, but your view of life is so different. The other thing I have to remind myself is how lucky I am to have lived this life. I’ve had so many different experiences dealing with stuff as a kid, traveling and living in a new country. Few people can truly replicate that experience. Always have to stay humble and positive about where you’ve been but also what’s coming next. Even had a thought today about how people change career paths throughout their lives, especially nowadays, so who knows where I’ll end up in a few years. Onwards and upwards!
