Never let anyone take advantage of you. Respect your own time. Don’t make excuses for people when they show you who they are through their actions. Trust your judgement because if you’re having a bad feeling about something, trust your gut. You may be wrong but it’s something to be aware of. Remember, people will always say one thing and act a different way. Just follow how they act and don’t make up stupid scenarios in your head. If you don’t know, ask. But don’t let yourself keep putting in effort when it’s not reciprocated. You are worth more than being stepped on and rejected. Don’t let people take advantage and not respect your time. A few times maybe. But after a while, if the conversation is totally one sided and the other person isn’t contributing the same, you have to step away and let them be. People will be in your life if they want to be, you have no control over that. But if they don’t want you in their life, then you shouldn’t want them to be in yours. Spend time with people who push you to be better and make you happier, not people who make you question your decisions.
