The journey begins
The Road to the Ironman.
The toughest challenge I’ve ever encountered.
3.8 km swim.
180 km bike.
And a marathon (42 km) to top it off.
All together.
The average person finishes in 12-14 hours.
That will be me.
On August 3rd, 2025.
In Ottawa.

Swimming, biking and running in the same hometown as my cousins.
Specifically the one who’s no longer here with us anymore.
He was 32.
Only a few years older than I am now.
This one is for him, his son, his wife and all the families who suffer such devastating circumstances.
Cancer.
People are here one day, gone the next.
Savour your time.
This is how I’m choosing to enjoy my time on this world.
Great challenges.
Journeys to test yourself and what you’re capable of.
The last few years has seen me do a lot.
Write almost 1100 blog posts, 2 books, read hundreds of others, finish a marathon and even choreograph wedding dances.
All of them pale in comparison to this.
The Ironman.
The f***ing Ironman.
Many people have told me I’m crazy.
Maybe I am.
So what?
Maybe I’m crazy enough to show people what’s possible.
What’s possible when you set your mind to something and never stop trying till you get there.
This journey will be about pain, suffering, strength, fitness, endurance, resilience, showing up, time alone and optimizing my life.
This is no easy goal.
That’s the point.
Anything great in life comes after challenges.
After moments where you question yourself.
After experiences that you didn’t believe were possible.
Yet you’re here.
Done them.
Ready to embark on this journey.
Why not this one?
So what have I decided to do?
Share it all with the world.
This series will be my journey to complete the Ironman.
I’ll share my progress every week on Sunday.
Show you how I’m doing, take you behind training/nutrition and share the reflections I’ll be thinking of along the way.
While doing this, I’m also raising money for 2 amazing organizations.
One is the Ottawa Hospital, specifically the department that took care of my cousin before he passed away.
The other is for the Canadian Cancer Society.
I’m in the processing of finalizing logistics for donations and will be sharing it as soon as it’s live.
My goal is to raise $10,000.
Thank you for supporting me on this journey.
Look forward to bringing you along.
Here we go.
The beginning.
The journey to the Ironman.
Let’s go!!!
