Where are the role models?
Where are the role models?
Why don’t we have smart, informed people being the modern day celebrities?
Why are we paying more attention to Charlie Di Mello, Kim Kardashian and Leo DiCaprio than Ray Dalio, Jeremy Grantham and Michael Burry?
Why is the world paying attention to the frivolous rather than what’s happening in front of them?
Do we just accept inflation for what it is?
Do we just accept that this is what it is?
That we have to pay attention to celebrities instead of the people that are trying to warn us?
The elderly and smartest who have studied history understand.
We are at an inflection point.
Life will not be as rosy as it has been for most of the population in the last decade.
This will be a decade of turmoil.
We have a global sovereign debt crisis.
Inflation is exploding in many emerging markets.
Why?
Because the dollar is rocketing higher.
Why is that happening?
Because the US is raising rates, energy markets trade in US dollars and everything is getting more expensive.
When demand for US dollars, which is how business transactions happen internationally, happen at the same time the Fed is removing US dollars from the system - you have a short squeeze.
You have a squeeze on dollars.
So even though the US has a massive domestic inflationary problem, it’s way worse for developing markets.
Imagine you can’t print your own debt to access the basics on the international market like energy and oil.
Global central banks are realizing they pick inflating their own currencies or defaulting on their debts.
The US dollar hegemony is slowly ending.
Russia, Saudia and oil-producing countries are transacting with the biggest consumers like China and India in their own domestic currencies.
They’re buying gold and dumping US treasuries.
So if global central banks, who have previously bought US treasuries because they were pristine collateral, are not buying US treasuries anymore, who’s buying them?
The Fed.
They’re screwed.
Inflate your debt away causing runaway inflation and massive global sovereign debt defaults, even amongst countries with nuclear weapons, or cause a massive deflationary debt crisis ala the Great Depression.
This is how history works.
All currencies fail, even global reserve currencies.
In my lifetime, we will go through many massive currency crises.
They’re coming.
When they’re with the global reserve currency, many countries have a problem.
The global elites and politicans in the US, EU and the West are slowly coming to grips with their problems.
They have a delicate balance.
What choices do they make?
How do they control their population?
What’s their messaging?
The world is too global now.
When Europe goes through a massive energy crisis this winter with mass layoffs, businesses going under and people protesting on the streets, the world will wake up.
Our politicians and our system got us here.
But this is how history works.
One cycle after another.
The most important book for the 2020s is Ray Dalio’s ‘Changing World Order.’
He, and the smart boomers, know.
We’re approaching unchartered territory.
War and violence are a given in history but never have we had the ability to blow up another country instantaneously with nuclear weapons.
It’s terrifying.
None of this is good.
But we’re here.
So it’s up to the people to get educated and understand we don’t need to self-destruct.
We need to work together.
We need the stupid US war machine government to meet the BRICs and agree upon restructuring.
We need debts changed.
Will that happen?
I don’t know.
History tells us no, but I’m hopeful.
We’re more educated today.
We have access to history at our fingertips.
Every time we’ve faced a global sovereign debt crisis, war has persisted, someone has won and someone has lost.
The US and China can’t go to a hot war.
That’s inconceivable.
We need the West to accept where we are and the way they governed the world since World War II is no longer feasible.
Their reign is over.
Where we go from here is anyone’s guess, but we need people talking about this.
We need people talking about the problems that are facing the everyday person.
Fuck celebrity culture and what people are wearing.
Paying attention to that shit is how they distract you from what’s really going on.
Most people are going to suffer in the coming decades.
All because of the poor policy decisions and terrible politicians that have reigned over for decades.
And before you call me out on one side or the other, I don’t give a shit about either side.
I don’t care if you’re liberal or republican.
It has nothing to do with sides, it has everything to do with class.
The elites have won the last 40 years.
Globalization was incredible for them.
Now that we have a global inflationary problem and a sovereign debt crisis, things change.
Never forget you’re being distracted to pick a side from the real problem - we live in a caste system that’s gotten worse over the last 40 years.
The boomer generation has thrived and yet my generation will suffer.
We’ll have to pay the debts of our parents while going through massive social and civil problems.
And I didn’t even mention climate change.
Thanks boomers.
So what can we do?
We need educated people.
We need innovators.
We need people who refuse to accept the terrible future coming for us.
Those who are educated, understand history and solve the problems of today.
History is the best teacher.
It’s full of the world’s best role models.
It’s what we’re missing.
Where are the role models?
Time for them to step up.
