Your phone will destroy you

Your phone will destroy you

Your phone will destroy you:

Your phone will destroy you.

Eat away at your brain.

Eat away at your attention.

Eat away at your time.

Always there.

Always around.

Always buzzing.

Notification after notification.

Making you feel special.

Making you feel seen.

Making you feel like you need to know.

You need to pick it up.

You need to see what your friends sent you on TikTok.

Or watch the reel you got sent.

Or read the news alert that came to your phone.

You just have to stay up to date.

Have to be in the know.

Have to follow your favourite athlete or celebrity to see what they’re doing.

All of it is a trap.

It’s a trap to keep you plugged in.

To keep you on.

To keep you locked in to misery.

Why?

So that social media companies can sell you more.

Burn this into your brain.

You are the product.

You, person hearing or reading this, are the product for social media companies.

You.

Your brain.

Your time.

Your attention.

Your life.

You.

Their customer is advertisers.

And they’ll sell to the highest bidder.

Look what Google has done with Youtube.

Made ads everywhere.

Every 10 minutes showing 30 seconds of ads.

Soon it’ll be a minute.

Then 2.

Then more.

They know how addicted you are to it.

So they can sell you whatever.

And the only way to get out of it?

Pay into their monopoly.

Instagram is the same.

Notice how many more ads are on your feed.

Or your stories.

Ads are everywhere.

It’s how Facebook makes money.

Not you the person who scrolls through it every day.

You’re giving up your life to them.

Over time you eventually lose out on opportunities.

Opportunities to connect.

Opportunities to be with people are you.

Opportunities to be present.

All gone because you were too busy staring at your phone.

Your phone is destroying you.

Be careful.
