An inspiration:

An inspiration.

Be an inspiration.

Be one to your younger self.

The kind of person he would want to meet.

He would respect.

He would be proud of.

Be that guy.

Whatever idea of that guy is in your head, be him.

Don’t worry if anyone else won’t like that.

If people will hate you for it.

Or cancel you for it.

Be the guy your younger self would be wowed by.

That’s the goal for me.

Always has been.

Always will be.

How can I maximize my life?

Do as much as I can with the hand I’ve been dealt?

Learn as much.

Grow as much.

Earn as much.

And experience as much as possible.

Our lives are so short.

A mere spec in the spacetime.

You don’t matter.

Neither do I.

So live the best life you can.

Do all the things you want because you want to do them.

All of these goals in the past few years have been mine.

Things I wanted to do because I wanted to do them.

Read 50 books in a year.

Lose 25 pounds in 3 months.

Run a marathon.

Write 1100+ blog posts.

Write 2 books.

Read a few hundred more.

Then train for an Ironman.

All of that was a choice.

I decided to do these things because I wanted to do them.

I wanted to make them my reality.

How much could I do?

How much could I accomplish?

As Jesse Itzler says,

It’s not about your work resume.

It’s about your life resume.

That’s the most important thing.

Your job will disappear tomorrow.

But who are you beyond that?

What are you like?

What do you do?

What do your actions show?

You can see mine.

My goal is to be as interesting as possible.

If that turns me into one of the most interesting people alive, then so be it.

I’m doing this to see what I can accomplish.

Hopefully along the way, people notice.

Maybe they do.

Maybe they don’t.

Regardless, hopefully it shows them what’s possible.

It inspires them on their journey to be a better version of themselves.

That’s it.

That’s my inspiration.

Be an inspiration someone else.
