Be addicted to the game

Be addicted to the game

Be addicted to the game:

Be addicted to the game.

The work.

The process.

Figure out what game you’re playing and learn everything about it.

Everything.

What are the rules?

Who are the players?

Who are the people you should trust?

Who should you listen to?

How do you think?

How do you make better decisions?

How do you optimize your mind and your body?

All of it.

You have to be a continuous learner.

The learning never stops, ever.

Everyone can learn something new.

Arrogant people make me chuckle.

It’s insecurity masquerading as confidence.

When you see it, you know.

No one knows anything.

No one.

Everyone’s figuring it out as they go.

Most of the world doesn’t know what game they’re playing.

What’s their purpose?

What are they striving for every day?

What keeps them going?

Everyone needs something.

We all need purpose.

Victor Frankl told the world in ‘Man’s Search for Meaning.’

Find a purpose you feel good about and imagine it every day.

It’s how it got him through living in concentration camps during the Holocaust.

Figure out your purpose.

Figure out the game you want to play.

You can play any one you want.

Some people pick the status game.

Buying nice clothes.

Posting on social media.

Showing their ‘amazing’ life to make people feel jealous.

That only goes so far.

Some people pick the money game.

There is never enough money.

When you get a lot, you want more.

People don’t realize till late in life there’s only so much you can buy. There’s only so much you can eat. There are only so many trips to nice places you can have.

Then they look for their purpose.

Their calling.

Why not start earlier?

If you’re a young person, start today.

Throw your phone in another room.

Get a blank sheet of paper and write down what you want in life.

It could literally be anything.

100 ponies?

Write it down.

Private jet?

Write it down.

Taking your family on a trip around the world?

Write it down.

Anything and everything.

Then pick one.

What’s the most important thing you want in life?

Write that down on a separate piece of paper.

Repeat that to yourself every day.

Do this for at least 30 days.

Set a reminder in your phone.

Once in the morning and once at night is what I do.

Slowly your mind will show you opportunities you never saw before.

Don’t rush.

Be patient.

The answers will come.

What you’ll appreciate is you have to do the work.

But you’ll also have the motivation to do the work because it gets you closer to that thing you wanted.

It lets you figure out what game you want to play.

It makes you addicted to the game
