Dec.26.23 - Day 1915 - Fame can eat you alive

Fame can destroy you. It can eat you alive. One day you’re on top of the world and the next day everyone hates you. Everyone. Just finished ‘Dream Scenario’ with Nick Cage and what a strange movie. Lot of interesting commentary on social media, fame, virality and cancel culture. Virality is not always healthy. It can distort your perception of reality where you start believing your own BS. It brings people into your life who are leeches and just want to suck money out of you. It can also push your family and those closest to you away from you. It’s a tough road and something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Problem once you start getyting to that point is everything is judged. You’re looked at as an entity now instead of a person. You can’t be your authentic self because people don’t want that from you. The ending was a bit strange and felt rushed but did finish with a note to his family where at the end of theday, all he wanted was to be in his kids life and spend time with his wife. Fame can eat you alive if you let it so always make sure to have good people around you who can keep you where you are. Don’t let fame destroy you as it usually does to so many.
