Focus on bettering yourself:
Focus on bettering yourself.
How can you give your time to other people but not yourself?
You can’t give the full version of yourself if you’re not operating at 100%.
Focus on improving yourself and everything else will follow.
Got back on dating apps a few months ago and the dates have been flat.
Just got canceled on by one girl for a 2nd time tonight.
Online dating sucks.
Yet it reinforces this idea in me that I need to be better.
I need to work harder.
As Charlie Munger said ‘Be worthy of a worthy mate.’
When I got broken up at the beginning of the year, I worked harder.
After the break-up, I read 15 books, wrote 40 blog posts and got a few pounds closer to getting a six-pack all in the month of January.
I went to work.
Yet it still feels like I’m not there.
I could be doing more.
I should be working harder.
At the right time, the right person will walk into your life.
It does mean you have to put yourself out there but also don’t force it.
It’ll happen at the right time.
Focus on being the best version you can be and the right person will be there when the time is right.
Let everything happen as it will.
All the failed first dates mean you’re one step closer to finding your person.
If the other person isn’t as invested in you, move on.
Do not settle.
Do not compromise yourself for someone else.
Never compromise who you are for anyone.
Be authentically you and the right person will love you for all your flaws.
There’s no need to rush.
Everything will happen when the time is right.
Life hasn’t gone the way you thought so far and won’t be going forward.
People will come and go.
Keep those around that really care. Forget about everyone else.
Keep people around you that push you to be better.
You don’t need negative people in your life, especially from a partner.
That shit is toxic.
You need someone who sees the world as a good place with opportunity, not one who feels sorry for themselves and blames everyone else for their problems.
That person will be there at the right time.
Till then, be patient.
Focus on bettering yourself and everything else will come.
