In service:

In service.

That’s it.

That’s the secret to life.

Are you living in service?

In service to something.

Whether that’s your family.

Friends.

Community.

Business.

Or someone you’ve never met before.

How are you living in service?

Listened to a podcast today from We Study Billionaires.

Been listening to them for a while.

Solid podcast focused on being a better investor.

Hard to believe these guys have been in business for 10 years.

A decade of showing up providing value to investors.

They had a chat today about how they’re living their best lives.

One of the hosts is in his 30s.

The other is in his 50s and wrote Richer, Wiser, Happier - one of the best investment books you’ll ever read.

Stig, the younger guy, mentioned how now all he thinks about for the podcast is a vessel of service.

How can he be in service to others?

He’s made enough money now that he’s financially secure.

He never has to worry about cash again.

So now his focus has turned elsewhere.

It’s defining his purpose.

It’s being in service to other people.

That’s what this feels like to me.

In service.

How can I teach?

How can I educate?

How can I get my message out to the world?

The world is going to go through some shit.

History has been clear about that.

Most of it we can’t control.

But some of it we can.

We can be in service.

To our family.

To our friends.

To our community.

That’s what I’m hoping with all this writing.

To be in service to humanity.

It’s forced me to ask myself questions.

Like how can we help out?

What can we do to make other people’s lives better?

If you do that, I’ll guarantee you’ll find your purpose.

Victor Frankl did it in the depths of Auschwitz.

He wrote a book that changed the world.

Man’s Search for Meaning.

He had to get it out there.

He had to write it.

He found his purpose, even in the depths of hell.

He wouldn’t let anything else, including a Nazi death camp, get in the way of it.

Of being in service to other people.

It turned into one of the most meaningful books of a century.

So how do you live your life in service?
