Play it well:
Play it well.
Life.
Life is a game.
It’s got characters.
And a story.
And climaxes.
And achievements.
And struggles.
And chapters.
It’s a game.
The sooner you realize that, the better off you’ll be.
Play it as best as you can.
With the cards that you’re dealt.
Do your best.
Always.
That’s it.
That’s all you can ask for.
But learn how to play.
Learn about all of these.
The characters.
The people.
You.
Learn about yourself.
Ask yourself questions.
How do you think?
Why do you think what you think?
Why do you believe what you believe?
How do people work?
How do successful people work?
How do they think?
What do they think about?
Learn from history.
Human behaviour is undefeated.
The Stoics knew more about human behaviour than anyone else.
And they wrote their books thousands of years ago.
All the things you read in those books are still true.
And they will be till the end of time.
Learn the universal laws.
The things that don’t change.
Then apply it.
Don’t sit on the sidelines.
Life doesn’t wait for anyone.
You have to participate.
You have to play.
You have to show up.
You have to fail.
You have to try.
You have to keep going.
Just like an RPG game.
If a boss beats you, so what?
Try again.
Get back on the horse.
Figure out what he did.
Figure out why he did it.
Learn his tactics.
Learn from your experiences.
Then apply it next time.
You can’t win all the time.
You must fail.
At everything.
Games are about failing.
And trying again.
You only get better through failure.
But also through playing the game.
Please.
Please play the game of life.
Participate.
Learn.
Read.
Reflect.
Then Try.
Commit.
Do things.
Take action.
Play the game.
Life is a game.
Play it well.
