Day 1208 - Jan.17.22 - Growth isn’t linear

Am I a fraud? Am I really progressing? Spoke to a friend yesterday on my walk and he asked me an interesting question. ‘Anish, have I grown? Or am I still the same guy in university?’ My response was ‘Of course you’ve grown. You’ve had so many more experiences as a person.’ I know that’s true for me. But growth isn’t linear. You don’t know in the moment whether you’ve grown or not. It’s only after you look back and reflect do you appreciate how much you’ve done. But you can get stagnant. Most people are. Living for another day with no sense of where they want to go. Never be that. Always challenge yourself. Pick a new probem and go do it. Practice. Improve. Commit the time. But do it. Put in the effort. Show the world with results, not just talk. Go do it. Spend the time conquering new problems. Every time you think you know something, go become a beginner at something else. That’s how you grow. Figure out your why. Figure out what makes you go. Growth is never ending. You can always be better. There’s always ways to improve. So keep improving. Growth isn’t linear but it isn’t supposed to be. Just keep pushing.
