It’s all about the story. The story you tell yourself. The stories you tell others. The stories you hear from your friends. The stories from your family. The stories from the news. The stories from your teachers. The stories about history. The stories about humanity. The stories about money. The stories about religion. Some of the greatest stories ever told. We all need stories. A good story is compelling. It can inspire millions. It can also start wars and destroy millions. It can create mass fear and also inspire love. The art of storytelling is as central to our history as it is to us. The story of ourselves, both from our perspective and the ones we tell others. The ones we hear. The ones we believes and don’t believe. Why? Based on the storyteller and the story that was told. If a lot of people believe it, it must be true right? Wrong. That’s going to be the hardest part of the AI world. The stories we will read and see are no longer produced by humans. They will be produced by AI that knows us better than we know ourselves. It will learn to tell stories better than us. That’s what makes us human. The stories we tell and how we convince ourselves what’s true or not. It’s all about the story.
