Just finished watching Bo Burnham’s comedy special ‘Inside’ about how he lived by himself for a year over covid while he thought the world was ending and everything is so fucked up. Very well done and super unique. I’m sure it’s going to win a lot of awards but it was literally him doing what he does best: creating. Writing. Singing. Directing. Acting. Producing. All of it. That’s who he is. He’s an entertainer. That’s his positive contribution to society. That’s what we should all ideally choose. WHat’s your gift you should give to society? Because working a job you don’t like to show other people up is not worth it. Nobody cares about you. In today’s day and age with social media, it feels like the world is crumbling if you spend too much time in front of a screen. Get rid of them. Use your time to create. Use it for yourself. Stop letting these social media apps destroy your ability to stop and think. Every time I go out in the world now, I try my best to just enjoy it for what it is. Don’t run away from boredom, embrace it. My best moments in life have always been away from my phone. Allow yourself time to think and reflect on who you are and what you want. Life is a single player game and it’s all in your head. The sooner you get out of your own head and share your gift with the world, the happier you’ll become. Keep creating.
