Mar.20.24 - Day 1998 - You have no idea

You have no idea what a person is dealing with. Zero. You may think everything is ok on the outside but they may be dealing with a shit storm at home. Broken relationships, sick family, partners being with different people, having multiple adults and kids, parents not being supportive, mental health conditions, shitty circumstances and unimaginable situations. What you learn as you grow up is everyone you know is always dealing with something you know nothing about. Stop judging and just be a non-judgmental friend. So many people bottle up so many things and when they’re given a release point, they’ll tell you anything. Let them speak. Be there for them in that moment. Don’t rush to judgment and just be there to support them through whatever they’re dealing with. Often times people just want a shoulder to cry on and a person to vent to. They don’t want your opinion, they just want someone there who will listen to them. Pay attention and listen. Be a friend. Be a person that doesn’t add stress to their lives. We all have unknown battles that no one deals with except us. Be kind. Be caring. Be friendly. Don’t judge and be open to just listening. You have no idea what someone is going through.
