Mar.22.24 - Day 2000 - 2000 days

2000 days. 2000 days of practice. 2000 days of consistency. 2000 days of commitment to your craft. 2000 attempts. 2000 failures. 2000 pieces that never existed before. You did that. No one else did. You do that for the rest of your life and you’ll win on a scale that is unimaginable to others. You’ve already laid the foundation for an incredible journey ahead, no matter what happens. As Shane Parrish at Farnam Street likes to say, you’ve put yourself in a great position no matter what happens going forward. I’m scared of the world we’re entering based on all my readings of history and yet that future doesn’t exist. The only thing that matters is the here and now. Truly. This moment. Writing on a page for the 2000th time. The last 1000 days have been nothing short of a dream. I’ve been able to experience things that only happen in movies. Trips around the world with family. Sharing memories with the best of friends. Seeing your work pay off in a way that seemed impossible. This journey has been better than a dream and I’m so lucky I get to live it every day. Keep dreaming and work on those dreams every day. One day you’ll sit there and marvel over how you did it. Till then, keep going. Here’s to 20,000 more days.
