Memes are teaching the world:
Memes are teaching the world.
Memes are the way information travels online these days.
Everyone’s on their social media apps mostly looking at memes.
Kids are learning about the world through memes.
Network TV is disappearing.
The mainstream media’s attack on independent creators like Joe Rogan is actually hilarious.
They know.
All the old time media execs know.
Joe Rogan is winning attention.
People actually listen to him.
People appreciate him for being an honest person that wants to learn about the world and have interesting conversations.
What interesting conversations is CNN or any other network TV program having? Zero.
They’re scared.
The media moguls of the past know.
The dissemination of information is changing.
Networks used to have control.
Now social media companies do and independent voices.
Social media companies are the new powerhouses.
But individuals are also winning.
Joe Rogan is a prime example.
He’s a great model.
His audience dwarfs all the mainstream media outlets.
Whether you love him or hate him, he’s always part of the conversation.
That’s important.
I’m sure he doesn’t care and would rather these media companies stop talking about him, but sometimes it goes too far.
They’re trying to cancel him.
It’s funny to watch it happen in real time because they’re losing.
The cancel culture police in full force.
The crazy thing is Spotify won’t do anything.
They can’t.
They know they make too much money from him.
Also, for Joe his brand would be bigger if he was independent.
If he controlled his distribution and content, he would be worth so much more.
Popular culture is constantly shifting.
Actors used to be known because they were seen on TV shows and movies.
The new stars are the social media stars.
But it’s not enough to only work for a few years.
If they want to maintain their longevity like great actors, they have to keep producing quality content for decades.
That’s a lot to ask for.
They have to constantly reinvent themselves.
Keeping up with popular culture and where meme culture is going.
Yet that’s how information flows.
Any time something significant happens in the news or popular culture, people are looking forward to the memes more than the actual story.
The memelords of the Internet are the gatekeepers.
They’re teaching the world.
