Day 1101 - Oct.22.21 - Your health is everything

Your health is the most important thing you have. Without it you have nothing. Nothing else matters when you’re sick. All you can think about is getting better. Woke up today with a sore throat and starting panicking a bit. Just got back from NYC and starting get respiratory symptoms. Got a covid test this morning and thankfully negative, but in this environment, the culture is one of fear every time we get sick. It’s going to take time to get used to having the cold or flu now because you always have to double check. Covid can come and even if you’re double vaxxed, it can still hit you like a ton of bricks. Be grateful you have a healthy body. Appreciate your ability to eat great food with your brother. Rest your body and recover. Getting sick tells me I’m going to fast and need to slow down. Enjoy this time. Be thankful for the reminders from your body that you’re not invincible. No one is. Appreciate what you’ve been given and the privilege you have of being you. A lot of things had to gon right for you to be here and thankfully your health never got in the way. Never forget how good you have it and how many people are in hospitals bedridden not being able to move. Don’t take for granted what you have. Embrace the mess and the journey that comes with it. Your health is everything.
