Play your game

Play your game

Play your game:

Play your game.

Whichever game you’ve been dealt.

Play it to the best of your ability.

First learn it.

Understand it.

Reflect on it.

All of this takes work.

It takes effort.

It takes showing up.

We’ve all been dealt a hand we had no control over.

Born to parents and environment we didn’t choose.

Yet every day you’re alive, you have a choice.

You have a choice of how to spend your time.

What to focus on.

What to do.

We’re all given the same 24 hours in a day.

What you decide to do is up to you.

But you do have a choice.

If you want to spend it on your phone, go ahead.

If you want to spend it on yourself, go for it.

If you want to spend it on other people, be my guest.

But be careful how you spend it.

Be careful who you spend it with.

Be careful what you spend it on.

Time is our most important asset.

The one that we never get back.

So use it wisely.

Use it to better yourself.

Use it to play the game.

We all choose our games.

Some of us consciously.

Most of us unconsciously.

Doing things we do just because our parents told us.

Or someone else did them.

Or we don’t know what else to do.

You have much more choice than you realize.

You can decide today to learn an entirely new skill and a year from now be better than 95% of people on the planet.

Patience, consistency, work, effort and luck.

Apply those principles towards a specific goal and watch your life open up.

Watch your game change.

Our games are shaped by us.

We start with one we don’t control.

But we move in another we do.

Some of us are bound by circumstances.

We’re stuck in situations we didn’t want to be in.

Often unconsciously.

We chose to follow what was in front of us just because of that.

It was in front us.

Instead of making choices.

Instead of taking control of our lives.

Instead of choosing the game we want to play.

We’re all playing a game.

Whether you like it or not.

Your job is to figure out which one you’re playing and decide if you want to keep playing it.

Or change your game.

The choice is yours.

Regardless, we’re all participating in this game.

This game we call life.

Play your game the best you can.
