Day 11 – Sep.16.18 - Beginning of writing
Re reading yesterdays writing is pretty funny. It’s definitely my authentic self but it’s refreshing to be able to see my thoughts on paper. When I decided to start writing, I didn’t really know what I wanted to accomplish other than a written memory of my experiences as I head into the next chapter in my life. I do wish I started writing when I went to uni because I had so many unbelievable and amazing experiences with truly great people. I was able to learn so much about myself and became an independent person but I have no written memory of it. We were taught in medical school about the value of self-reflection in your medical career and I don’t think people fully appreciate the value of stopping and genuinely thinking about your day and how it went. In this instantaneous information world, we’re always caught up in the next thing or big story that we sometimes forget to stop, appreciate and learn from our every day experiences. My life goal is to be better each day and try to learn as much as possible from the people around me. Never stop learning!
