You won't be everybody's cup of tea

You won’t be everybody’s cup of tea:

You won’t be everybody’s cup of tea.

People like tea in different ways.

Hot.

Iced.

With milk.

Without it.

Super sweet.

Super bland.

Green vs. English vs. vs. lemon vs. mint etc.

There are so many ways to have tea.

People have their own preferences.

Sometimes they’ll like it.

Other times they won’t.

Sometimes they’ll like you.

Other times they won’t.

It’s hard dating these days.

Feels like you can never find your cup of tea.

Or you think you found it and it wasn’t reciprocated.

Dates gone nowhere.

People you vibed with who didn’t feel the same way.

It’s tough.

You have to remember, you won’t be everyone’s favourite.

You’re not supposed to be.

The goal is to find someone who likes you for who you are.

Who likes your type of tea.

That person is out there.

At least that’s what I tell myself.

Problem is we move on from teas so quickly.

Because there’s always more tea available.

Right?

In our parents days, they married who was in close proximity.

Someone who lived close or went to the same church or was in the same classes or lived in the same neighbourhood.

Met and that was it.

Today, the world is your oyster.

You can be in a relationship with anyone from anywhere.

So if you find someone and you don’t like one thing about them, you can just move on.

Because there are always other options right?

I’m not sure.

Feels like it’s harder to find your cup of tea these days.

Gotta keep putting yourself out there.

Doing your thing.

Pursuing what you like.

And someone will come at the right time.

Remember, rejections are just two people who weren’t meant to be together.

It means you’re one step closer to finding your person.

To finding your tea.

You won’t be everyone’s cup of tea.

You’re not supposed to be.

Be you.
