America is failing:
America is failing.
It’s failing its people and it’s failing on the world stage.
For most people alive, it has led the world.
Always been at the front.
Always seen as the place to be.
To work hard, earn money and accomplish great things.
The American dream, right?
That dream is dead.
The average person in America is STRUGGLING.
Exploding debt.
Exploding costs.
Inflation out of control.
Wages not keeping up with inflation.
Quality of life decreasing.
Gun violence everywhere.
Out of breath because they’re too fat.
Too much time spent on phones.
Too much distractions.
Political polarization.
Far left and far right changing discussion on university campuses.
The presidents of some of the best universities in the world can’t even denounce hate speech.
Their schools are failing.
Their education is falling behind the rest of the world.
They still have some of the best universities, but for how much longer?
How many great kids around the world are going to stay away from the US?
Went to India recently for a wedding and spoke to a bright kid.
He wants to do his masters and is applying abroad.
Top choice?
UK number 1.
Canada number 2.
US number 3.
I was shocked.
For me growing up, it was the opposite.
US 1, UK 2 and Canada 3.
His reason?
Too much crime, don’t like Trump, and crazy political polarization.
He doesn’t want to go to America.
For our parents, those universities meant something.
For today’s most educated kids around the world, it doesn’t.
At least not as much as it used too.
Social media is ruining children.
It’s ruining a generation.
New research published by Jonathan Haidt shows kids don’t even like social media anymore.
But, they feel like they have to be on it because their friends are on it.
If chosen to have everyone around them delete it, most of them would say yes.
We don’t like using it, and yet we can’t look away.
We can’t stop scrolling.
Focused on the next dog meme, funny TikTok or stupid celebrity news story.
It’s not only an American problem, but still.
These social media companies are eroding the fabric of society in the name of profits and capitalism.
It’s allowed people to hear from geniuses in their fields while simultaneously making people sad and suicidal.
Boys are killing themselves 4:1 now.
Specifically young boys.
That’s horrifying.
The American mortality rate is declining.
People are dying younger in the US.
Why?
Suicides and drug overdoses.
Breaking points, the best American news outlet, did a story on it.
This is a long term trend that matters.
How can you be excited for the future of a country when people are dying younger and younger?
Loneliness is literally a public health crisis.
Just like everything else in America.
Guns, medical debt, suicides, drug overdoses, poor education, unhealthy food, rising costs, bad leaders, increasing inequality, rising political polarization.
These are all signs of an unhealthy economy.
The mainstream media makes America out to be this great country
Everyone around the world knows that’s not true.
The future of the world is in Asia.
China, India, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Korea, Japan.
That part of the world will win the next decade.
Not the West.
There’s a disconnect between what the news is telling us and how people are feeling.
People are struggling.
Everywhere.
And instead of investing in your own country, the American military-industrial complex continues to profit in the billions with war.
How much aid went to Ukraine?
Probably more.
How much is going to Israel?
Billions.
The US government continues to print trillions of dollars with rising cost of interest on their debt.
They can’t do this forever.
The world is waking up.
America has a financial problem.
33 trillions of debt at 5% rates that can’t be financed.
Who’s buying US debt?
Not as many countries.
China isn’t.
Japan isn’t.
Russia isn’t.
Lots of countries are slowly moving away from it and buying gold instead.
The world is run on commodities and energy, not US treasuries.
America seems to have forgotten that.
There are major problems in America that need to be solved yesterday.
The empire is failing.
It’s failing in front of our eyes.
