Aug.13.24 - Day 2144 - First day I thought of the Ironman
Think I’m gonna do the Ironman. The one in Ottawa next year. Next Aug 3rd. Raise money for Sachit. Use him as fuel. My role model. The guy I looked up to my whole life who showed me the way. Do it for him, Ravi and Julia. Any day when you want to quit, think of him in the hospital and the pain he endured. The suffering. The toxic medications and brutal side effects. Think about his grit. About his resolve. About his positive outlook on life. You were one of the first people he called for a reason. Use that. Do it in his honour. Complete it in the year you turn 30. Next year is the year to prove to everyone how much more you’re capable of. The ironman is the ultimate endurance competition. The ultimate test of strength, skill and mental fortitude Can you persist when everything in your body is telling you to stop. Can you keep going when your mind is on fire asking you to quit. In those moments, remember Sachit. Remember who he was and the moments you shared with him. He would’ve totally supported you through all you’re doing. Keep doing it for more than just you. I’m running an Ironman next year. Time to get to work.
