Day 666 – Day 160 – Aug.17.20 - Devil’s day

The devil’s day. Damn it’s impressive I’ve gotten this far. Never thought when I started writing that I’d be able to maintain this level of consistency and dedication. It does show you that instituting habits and making them an integral part of your life can radically change the way you act and see the world. To think about all I’ve accomplished, the many wins and failures along the way is pretty special. You’ve constantly been growing and that never stops. You’re growing so much you don’t even remember the books and experiences you’ve had along the path. It’s important to remember what got you here. Hard work, luck, books, resilience, belief, family and curiosity. Without any of those, you’re not sitting here at home as a VC working in biotech in Canada. It just doesn’t happen like that for most people. Their path is much more linear and yours feels anything but. Don’t forget privilege as well, which ties into family, but still. Important to acknowledge that you’re here because of sacrifices your parents made before you even existed. Here’s to the next 666 days and a journey worth documenting.
