Everything is a mind game

Everything is a mind game

Everything is a mind game:

Everything is a mind game.

Everything.

All controlled by your mind.

You’ve been programmed.

Brainwashed.

Indoctrinated.

Based on your parents, environment, role models, institutions, media, teachers, and people around you.

You are your programming.

What you believe is based on these influences.

Nothing else.

We don’t realize how much we’ve been brainwashed till we self-reflect.

Till we push ourselves out of our comfort zone.

Till we travel.

Till we see the world in a new way.

Most of us never get there.

We’re stuck believing in the same blueprint we had since childhood.

Everything you believe is a lie told to you by someone no smarter than you.

It’s your job as you grow older to understand those lies.

See what fits and what doesn’t.

To do that, you need to reflect.

What strong beliefs do you have that might not be real?

Unlock them through writing, therapy, psychedelics or meditation.

Pick one of those things and try it out.

Stick with it for a little bit of time.

See what you uncover.

Ask yourself questions.

Why do you believe what you believe?

Why do you believe in your religion?

Why do you believe in your friends?

Why do you believe in your teachers?

Are they telling you the truth, or just what they believe?

Here’s a quote from Steve Jobs that comes back to me a lot.

‘Everything around you that you call life was made up by people no smarter than you and you can change it.’

You can change the story you tell yourself.

You can change your mind.

You don’t have to believe what you’ve believed in the past.

You don’t have to stick to your ideology.

You don’t have to stick to your beliefs.

You’re allowed to question them.

You’re allowed to change your mind.

It’s ok.

It’s better that way.

If you’re presented with new information, there’s nothing wrong with admitting you were wrong.

It’s healthy.

It’s good for you.

Most of us never do it because it forces us to confront ourselves.

It forces us to confront our beliefs.

It forces us to confront our identity.

Most of us never want to do that.

For the few that do, I commend you.

That’s what a smart mature person will do.

Confront who you are.

All the good and all the bad.

And be open to change.

Be open to new opinions.

Be open to expanding your horizons.

Be open to changing your mind.

I got there through meditation.

Many other successful people did.

Kobe.

Jordan.

Steph Curry.

Oprah.

Tim Ferris.

Joe Rogan.

Ray Dalio.

Bill Gates.

All are meditators.

All have talked about the power of meditation.

Try it.

Don’t just try it for a day or a week or a month.

Try it for a while.

Be patient.

Show up.

And watch.

Your mind will be opened up in a way you can’t imagine.

You’ll slowly unlearn your bad habits.

You’ll question what’s been holding you back.

You’ll realize that…

Everything is a mind game.
