Execute on the dream

Execute on the dream

January 6, 2023

Execute on the dream:

Execute on the dream.

It’s beginning.

Just launched first my podcast episode and Youtube video.

Filmed and scheduled the second.

Want to film at least a few more tomorrow.

The work has begun.

Time to build the media company I want to see in the world.

Time to share the message and information I wish my younger self knew.

Time to teach me what I wish was out there.

The world is there for the taking.

Yes, it will take time.

Yes, you will fail.

Yes, you won’t grow as fast as you want to.

That’s the point.

Nothing in this world comes easy and if you want the success that you do, you better be ready to work.

This game never stops, but it’s fun.

It’s incredible to see.

People don’t really know what I’ve been doing.

They don’t know how much work I’ve actually put in.

Creating something original that I wanted to see.

Got the first notification that an episode was out when I scrolled through my podcast app today.

Wild to think my work will be listened to by potentially thousands to millions of people.

All these ideas and thoughts, mostly bad, are out there for the world to consume.

Remember it won’t be liked.

It won’t be understood.

People will think it’s weird, not well written and wrong.

Let them.

Let the criticism go.

As every historically great person knows, nothing innovative and boundary-pushing comes without people hating on the vision.

You need the hate to do something interesting.

If your work pisses off a lot of people, you know you’re doing something right.

The point of this isn’t to make them happy.

It’s to teach people and challenge their thinking.

If they don’t want to learn, no problem.

Don’t listen to me.

Nothing is stopping me.

Just sent in an application for the O’Shaughnessy Ventures one year fellowship.

Hopefully my work is interesting and would be great to be a part of it.

But I’m not going to let it stop me from executing.

The rejections are what drive you.

You don’t need everyone to like you or accept you.

You just need to keep pushing because there will be people that do.

Keep working, keep putting stuff out there and keep sharing with the world what you’ve learned.

This is just the beginning.

There’s so much more work to do.

Time to execute on the dream.
