We all need self-love:
We all need self-love.
All of us.
All of us need to give ourselves more credit.
We’re so hard on ourselves.
Wanting to do more.
Be more.
Wasted opportunities.
Overthinking.
Pondering regrets.
Getting sucked up in social media.
Not moving forward.
Same job.
Same situation.
Seeing death all around you.
We put ourselves down.
Our default mode in our mind is negative.
That comes from childhood.
Your subconscious.
Bad memories as a kid where people were putting you down.
Those memories stick to you.
They shape your behaviour forever.
If you grew up in a bad home with negative parents or family members, or had bad teachers or bad friends, you’ve internalized a lot of their negative sentiment toward you.
Now it’s as if those people are your thoughts.
They’re dictating your life.
Let them go.
Look how far you’ve come.
Look where you are now.
You made it here.
Congrats.
That’s something to be proud of.
Even in those moments where you didn’t think you’d make it.
You kept going.
You kept pushing.
You kept trying.
Again and again.
You made it here.
Is here enough?
Maybe.
Also maybe not.
Maybe you have more in your future.
Maybe you’re destined for more.
Maybe you eventually realize you can just do things.
Start things.
Try things.
Go out of your comfort zone.
Don’t listen to those around you.
Stop listening to them.
Don’t let them hold you back.
No one cares.
A smart man once said, in my 20s I thought everyone cared about me.
In my 30s, I cared a little less what everyone cared about me.
In my 40s, I realized none of them were paying attention in the first place.
They’re not.
No one is.
They’re too busy stuck in their algorithm and bubble.
Do your thing.
Go do the things you want.
Live the life you want.
Build the experiences you want.
Promise yourself you will.
Today.
Now.
Do it.
Book that trip.
Start that blog.
Paint that picture.
Stop waiting.
Is it going to suck at the beginning?
Absoutely.
You will hate it.
You think it’s not worth it.
You want to give up.
If that happens, it means you’re on the right track.
Keep going.
Nothing good ever came without failure.
Success is just many failures.
Be patient with yourself.
Give yourself credit.
It takes time to learn anything.
But keep at it.
A few minutes a day.
Do it for a week, then a month, then a year.
Just a bit every day.
Small changes.
Keep iterating.
Keep learning.
Keep reflecting.
Through that comes growth.
Trust me.
It will take time.
You may not see it.
But other people will.
They’ll notice.
The world will see how great you’ve become.
But it takes time.
Lots of it.
Don’t expect a payout.
Don’t expect validation.
Don’t expect other people to tell you you’re doing a good job.
Just do it.
Nike.
It’s true.
Again and again.
Commit.
Let that be the one constant in your ilfe.
While life speeds up, let that be your thing.
The thing you come back to.
The thing that keeps you grounded.
Keeps you going.
Inspires to get up every day.
Even when you don’t want to.
Show up.
For yourself.
Not anyone else.
Your younger and older self will thank you.
Make choices future you and past you would be proud of.
That’s the ultimate self-love.
Committing to you.
Please do it.
You’ll thank me later.
Remember.
We all need self-love.
