It'll take longer than you think

It'll take longer than you think

It’ll take longer than you think:

It’ll take longer than you think.

The last few years have shown me things take time.

You can’t lose weight tomorrow. It takes time.

The stock market can’t just collapse overnight. It takes time.

Gamestop can’t just moon overnight. It takes time.

The Chinese real estate market can’t just collapse tomorrow. It takes time.

The crypto ponzi can’t just collapse tomorrow. It takes time.

All these things take time.

For you to build what you want, it will take time.

Longer than you think.

This idea you have of building one of the largest independent media brands in the world is a 50 year plan.

It’s starting today, staying consistent and doing it for many many years.

Showing up even through the dark days. Even when the world is laughing. Even when you're wrong again and again.

Can you show up when everyone’s against you and is telling you to give up?

Can you show up when you don’t get the results you expect in a month, year or 5 years?

Can you do it even then?

Yes.

I know this is what I want to do.

I know that sharing my knowledge with the world, whether it’s wrong or right, is what I feel destined to do.

I want to teach myself and hopefully others through my process of self-discovery.

Whether I die tomorrow or 60 years from now, I want to contribute something to the world, no matter how bad it may seem.

I hope history will be kind to me, but that also doesn’t matter.

My story is going to end one day just like all of us.

All I can hope to do is make an impact while I’m alive and let the chips fall where they may.

Control what I can and leave everything else.

If the world wants to laugh and tell me I’m crazy, no problem.

If the world wants to clap and tell me I’m doing well, no problem.

Neither of those is up to me.

All that is up to me is my effort.

Showing up again and again, no matter how long it takes.

As Churchill has said ‘success is all about going from one failure to the next without losing enthusiasm.’

I’ve been on this self-discovery journey since leaving medicine in 2018 and I’m not about to stop now.

I’ve just begun.

Who cares how long it’ll take, all I know is I’m enjoying this.

Keep going, you’re doing great.
