Day 1759 - Jul.23.23 - Watch Oppenheimer
The complicated story of Oppenheimer. The man who changed the world and yet gave humanity the power to destroy itself. What a fascinating and complicated human being. A man who won America the war and yet the one who killed thousands of innocent people with 2 pieces of metal. Love how deep they went into the characters and their motivations. How they did so much for certain causes and yet listened to and supported others. Oppenheimer worked for the capitalists yet was sympathetic to the socialists and communists at the time. A man who wore his politics on his sleeve yet was always open to new opinions. The man who did what his government wanted and was shunned by his country because of what he believed. The pace of the movie and score was incredible. Nolan did a fantastic job. All those scientists as well that he got together. Remember hearing a lot of their names during high school chemistry. The timeline was very Nolan as well with it being split so widely and told from so many viewpoints. Was probably a bit too long and yet it captivated you the whole time. What a story and what a human. The man who became Shiva - death, destroyer of worlds. Watch Oppenheimer.
