Sep.25.23 - Day 1823 - We need more Fred Rogers

You need to be inspired. By people ahead of you. Those who are successful. Those who have achieved what you want out of life. Find them. Search for them in unexpected places. In unexpected industries, look at people at the top of their profession. Learn about their stories. Listen to them speak. Understand how they got to where they are. Listen to their passion, drive and commitment to working hard. Watch how they show up again and again. Watch how they care about people. Follow those who are humble. Those who understand how lucky they are to be alive. Who drive to do good and be good. Find those people. If you know kids, be that for them. Or tell them about people who can be that for them. Mr. Rogers was one of those people. An individual committed to serving his duty on earth. Use television to teach kids how to be in the world. Who talked to them like no one else would. Who taught them what no one else did around them. He captivated them and shaped an entire generation of children. We need that today. The reminder we’re all unique and yet all the same. That we need to be good by doing good. We need to show up for our neighbours. We need to be inspired by others. We need more Fred Rogers.
