Day 1369 - Jun.29.22 - Be relentlessly consistent

Relentless consistency. Even when you feel down and miss a day, show up again. Let go of the judge in your mind and get back on the saddle. Real results come from small improvements over a long period of time without wavering on direction. Nothing gets built in a day. You can’t build an empire in a day, you can’t be a better person in a day and you can’t lose weight in a day. It takes time, incremental improvement and showing up even when you don’t want to. Success doesn’t happen all at once. It happens in silence when everyone doubts you. It happens after your 5th failure of trying something that didn’t work out. It happens after you’ve shown up for the 1000th time and still feel like you’re going backwards. What I’ve learned is outcomes are out of your control. You don’t know how people will react or if you’ll be successful, but what you can control is effort. You can control how you use your time. You can control how you see your mind. You can control how you make decisions. Even with all you can control, sometimes you’ll get unlucky. Sometimes it’ll feel like you’re going backwards and have fallen further than you ever have. But, sometimes you’ll get lucky. Sometimes that one person who you never thought would consume your content has their life changed forever and takes the knowledge farther than you ever imagined. Do it for that person. Do it by being relentlessly consistent.
