Lessons at 30:

Lessons at 30.

I’m turning 30 soon.

A big age.

I remember as a kid thinking anyone in their 30s was old.

Now I’m here.

Older for sure.

Maybe a bit wiser.

Definitely a bit more experienced.

Seen some things.

Dealt with some things.

Learned a lot.

Like A LOT of stuff in my 20s.

Reading 300+ books and writing 1100+ blog posts will do that to you.

So what have I learned?

Be patient.

Great things take time.

Life is long.

Life is also short.

Tomorrow is not promised.

Death will hit you when you least expect it.

Death is a reminder, we only get one life.

One chance.

Find your purpose.

Find God.

Or find a family.

Eventually, you’ll realize all outcomes of life come down to these 3 choices.

Work for something bigger than yourself.

Accomplishing your goals is boring.

It’s satisfactory.

But it’s also hollow.

Always be chasing.

Yet always enjoy today.

Right now.

The present moment.

It’s the only one that exists.

No one cares about you.

They’re too busy thinking about themselves.

People will come in and out of your life.

Keep the good ones.

The ones who care about you.

The ones who show up for you.

The ones who ask you about you.

The ones who you enjoy spending time with.

The ones who challenge you.

The ones who had more to your life.

Drop everyone else.

Relationships are the most important thing in your life.

Prioritize them.

Don’t let them fall away.

Don’t forget about the people around you as you ascend.

Because inevitably you will fall.

Failure is a given.

No one gets out of life unscathed.

We all experience the same things as humans.

Loss.

Grief.

Suffering.

Anxiety.

Happiness.

Joy.

We’re all the same.

Some of us got luckier than others.

Doesn’t mean your life is any more important than someone else’s.

We’re all figuring it out.

Even the oldest, wisest ones who have experienced everything.

We’re all just making it up on the spot.

Anything that was created in the world was done by someone who was no smarter than you.

They just decided to do something.

You can just decide to do things.

No one is stopping you.

The only person is you.

You are so much more capable than you think you are.

It all starts with the mind.

The most powerful, misunderstood and mistreated organ in your body.

Imagine it as a puppy.

Feed it.

Treat it well.

Work on it.

Challenge it.

Take care of it.

The world is full of distractions trying to take away your attention.

Everyone is a robot.

Everyone is a zombie.

Slave to technology.

Slave to their phones.

Step away from it.

Take back your attention.

Be careful of who you listen to.

Be careful of the propaganda you follow.

It’s easy to be propagandized by the state.

It’s harder to think for yourself.

Look for opinions you disagree with.

Listen to people with another perspective.

Try to understand an issue from their point.

Doesn’t mean they're right.

Doesn’t mean you are either.

We are all living in different worlds.

Different timelines.

Different algorithms.

Controlled by a small few who set the goals, especially of the West.

Our governments are failing us.

They’re captured

People don’t think for themselves.

They’re easily brainwashed.

Easily indoctrinated.

Don’t be one of those people.

Search for your own conclusions.

Just because someone tells you something doesn’t mean it’s right.

Governments lie.

ALL THE TIME.

Don’t always believe them.

Don’t believe the mainstream media either.

They’re propaganda arms of the government, especially in the West.

Question everything.

AI is everywhere.

It’s becoming all-encompassing.

Content online is mostly AI-generated.

AI videos are already looking real.

The line between reality and simulation is almost here.

We might live in the matrix.

God is real.

He’s inside everyone.

Everyone has a supernatural divine power within them.

Your goal should be to find it.

Start with meditating.

Take it seriously.

But be patient.

You will spend years before you see results.

Yet once you see them and understand your new way of being, you’ll never want to go back.

There’s a reason some of the best in the world are meditating.

Especially in today’s day and age.

Slow down.

Stop being in a rush.

Things will not happen on your timeline.

Not the way you think.

But they can happen.

Everything takes time.

The world doesn’t move at your pace.

That’s ok.

Be adaptable.

You can handle everything.

Humans are surprisingly resilient.

Treat your body like a temple.

It’s all you got.

Stop taking it for granted.

We all do it, especially when we’re young.

Eventually, you’ll come to realize waking up early and working out might be the biggest life hack.

Prioritize fitness.

Prioritize being healthy.

Prioritize moving your body.

Find workouts you like.

Play sports.

Do something different.

Get out of your comfort zone.

Find flow.

Your best ideas will come from dead time.

Let your mind wander.

Be bored more.

Take more walks.

Be in nature more often.

Give yourself credit.

Stop being so hard on yourself.

Love yourself.

You made it here.

No one else did.

Celebrate your wins.

Stop moving on so quickly.

Life is not an NBA season with a championship at the end.

It’s a grind.

Show up every day.

Mostly for yourself.

Hold yourself accountable.

No one else will.

Reading is a life hack.

A superpower.

Keep reading after you finish your schooling.

Read anything, but make sure it’s a book.

Follow your curiosity.

See where it takes you.

Chase wonder.

Chase magic.

Be awe-inspired.

Watch greatness at work.

Listen to the best at their craft.

Doesn’t matter what discipline.

Everything has something to teach you.

Everybody has something to teach you.

You don’t have to agree with the person to learn something from them.

Everyone is flawed.

No one is perfect.

Look at character traits you like in different people.

Incorporate them into your life.

But don’t idolize any one individual.

We’re all imperfect.

You don’t want fame.

You don’t want the burden that comes with it.

You want purpose.

You want progress.

Judge yourself today against your old self.

Not other people.

Everyone’s on their own timeline.

No one is running your race.

You are.

Just because your friends are getting married and having kids doesn’t mean you have to.

Commit.

Commit to something.

Get hobbies.

Ones that aren’t watching TV or scrolling your phone.

Have interests.

Be interesting.

Be interested.

Talk to people.

Ask them about their lives.

Reach out to people.

Even random ones.

Ones you look up to.

Cold-email.

It could change your life forever.

Be you.

Always and in all ways.

This life is a gift.

It’s a privilege.

There are great things to appreciate every day.

If you and your loved ones are healthy, that is a good day.

Don’t hold grudges.

Let things go.

Not for the other person.

But for you.

Don’t forget how people treat you.

Their actions will always speak louder than words.

Learn from those ahead of you.

Those who have accomplished what you want to accomplish.

Study history.

Human behaviour has been unchanged for thousands of years.

History doesn’t repeat itself, but it does rhyme.

Life will throw unexpected challenges your way.

Don’t dwell on it too long.

Learn from the situation and move on.

Savour your family.

Savour your friends.

Savour the times you share and the experiences you have with them.

That’s the whole point of life.

The reason to work hard.

To share it with others.

Don’t chase money.

You’ll potentially lose yourself and everyone around you along the way.

Money, status, and a job title won’t make you happy.

A healthy body, a curious mind and a loving family will.

Chase progress.

Not the outcome.

Small actions make a big difference.

Learn about compounding.

Start now.

Invest in yourself.

Invest in your own education.

Invest in gold and silver.

Make bets on the future.

But don’t be attached to the outcome.

Let go of your desires.

They’re not yours.

Find what makes you tick.

What gets you excited.

What gets you going.

Do more of that.

Reflect but don’t dwell.

Write.

Start journaling.

Get your thoughts out of your head.

Thoughts aren’t real.

They’re just thoughts.

You don’t have to act on all of them.

Learn about your subconscious.

Understand that it controls your decisions and thereby most of your life.

Who you were and what you experienced from ages 0-5 is how your subconscious operates.

Learn to accept it and not fight it.

We’re all screwed up.

Our parents were doing the best they could with what they had.

Forgive them.

They didn’t mean to screw you up.

They were just figuring it out as they went.

Let go of the need to prove them.

Spend more time with them.

And your grandparents.

It’s such a privilege to have them in your life.

Don’t take the time with them for granted.

Because one day you’ll wake up and realize your time with them is gone.

Everything will be but a memory.

Those are the most important things you take with you to your grave.

People don’t care about what you did or how much money you made.

They care about how you made them feel.

They care about the experiences they shared with you.

Don’t be selfish.

Although the world feels like it should revolve around you, it doesn’t.

You’re just a pawn in this grand universe.

Anything you do largely doesn’t matter.

Same with me.

Stop taking life more seriously.

Have fun.

You only get one chance.

Love is everything.

Love is the only thing.

Love is the key to all of it.

To love and be loved.

That’s it.

Here are some lessons at 30.
