Mar.11.24 - Day 1989 - Stop being a chipmunk

You’re too smart. Your mind goes too fast. You’re like an energizer bunny always on the move. Like Sonic the Hedgehog trying to collect all the rings. The rings of knowledge. That chase is never ending but in the process, you lose those around you. Presented a deal today to our team and had to be told to slow down. Was like I was on 4 coffees according to one of my bosses. As he said, take a breath. Stop. You’re always in a rush trying to get to the next thing. You forget to be present and always try to rush through. You’ve gotten this feedback from too many people. It makes you you but can also hurt you. If people can’t keep up with what you have to say, your message can’t be communicated and if you can’t communicate, you can’t do your job. Don’t turn that switch off as one boss has said to you because that’s what makes you great. But you do have to reign it in. You do have to remember to slow down and let time pass. You’re mind works too fast. Reminds me of Balajis and Marc Andreesen. I sound like a chipmunk when I speak because you’re connecting too many ideas together. Relax, breathe, speak slower. Everyone knows you’re smart. Stop proving it.
