Day 752 – Day 247 Q – Nov.11.20 – Don’t apologize for who you are
Own your s*** and don’t apologize for who you are. Understand that how you make decisions and do things will not be reflected in other people’s eyes nearly the same way. Everyone brings their bias and opinions to every interaction, decision and choice of words they use. That’s ok. Your goal at 25 is to continue to learn and offer your opinion, but understand that you’re still bottom rung on the ladder. That’s ok. These things take time. What you should never apologize for is your thoughts and what you choose to put out in the world. No on else has any control over that except for you. You have every right to make your opinion known and speak you truth. Don’t apologize for it at all. Continue to work and put out content that people like. Even if the people in your immediate circle and job don’t like or understand what you’re doing, there are millions of people out there who may find your insights extremely valuable. Remember, all it takes is one person to find the information you put out helpful and you’ve done your job. Read a quote today that said the only person you should try to impress is your 18-year-old self before the world corrupted you. If that person is happy and proud of the person you are and have grown into, that’s all that matters. You owe nothing to anyone on how you want to live your life, the decision is and will always be yours. So get ready because this is beginning of authenticity, of openness and sharing who you really are. Some people won’t care but others will. Do it for them.
