Day 247 – Kawhi Game 7 shot – May.12.19

Holy f**** s***, did I actually see that. Watching that replay over and over again, I still don’t believe what happened and what he did was possible. Superstars show up when you need it most and I can’t believe we have one of them. Ever since I started watching this team, it has always felt cursed. From the mid 2000s years w/ Chris bosh as a mediocre all star playing for a s*** team, to the hedo turkoglu, shawn marion, Jermaine o’neal, jose calderon & TJ ford years where we mad the playoffs but never challenged the Nets and Magic. To the early 2010s when CB left and it was derozan’s team to getting swept against Cleveland and Washington; disintegrating in big moments. I can’t believe we are here. This moment is truly one of those ‘where were you when’ moments in my life that I won’t forget. Watching the shot w/Arsha and N8 and jumping over and over again by the ping pong table, falling to the floor and thanking god, I can’t believe it happened. That moment still doesn’t feel real to me but it’s a memory I and every raptor fan will always cherish. Thank you Kawhi for making a whole city believe in you. You will probably never know the true impact to so many thousands of Raptors fans but it was spectacular. Love you and this team and sports.
