Day 943 - Day 433 - May.17.21 - Health is wealth

Injuries suck. It’s not until you lose something that you realize how important it is. Health is wealth because if you’re fully healthy and have a healthy family around you, you have everything. Sprained my ankle playing my brother in basketball and it’s the stupid shoes. I knew they’re only good casual shoes and not ball shoes because they have no ankle support. Tbh it’s not that bad because it could’ve been a lot worse. Still it hurts. When you’re not healthy is when you realize how good it is to be healthy. Keeping a healthy body and mind should be people’s number 1 priority but they often don’t learn their lesson until it’s too late. It’s not till they’re older and have more experience that they realize how good it is to be healthy. Being healthy is in your control up to a certain extent, but it’s also not. You can sprain your ankle or break your arm doing a lot of things. You can get into an accident that’s out of your control. But you can control what you put into your body and how much you exercise. That is a personal decision that people need to take seriously. It’s not until I got in shape that I realized I could accomplish so many more goals. If you do a little bit every day and give yourself time instead of being on your phone, you can accomplish a lot. It takes discipline and patience because you won’t see the results for a little while, but it compounds. Everything compounds: wealth, knowledge and relationships. The more you put into them, the more you’ll get out. Never take your health for granted because so many people do every year.
