Day 1337 - May.26.22 - Appreciate greatness

When you see mastery in front of you, it never fails to amaze. That’s what ‘Everything Everywhere all at once’ felt to me. Awe-inspiring. So many aspects of the move were perfect. Cinematography, editing, script, acting, casting, story and it was hilarious with a number of amazing messages. Be kind. Be grateful for what you have. Stop focusing on the what ifs and focus on what’s in front of you. Be there for your family. Stop letting your parent’s judgements hold you back from realizing your dreams. Never let go of the happy people in your life who add joy. Just an incredible movie. Hope I get to that level one day but you likely never will. Mastery is but an illusion depending on the perspective. One person’s assessment of mastery may be disappointing to someone else and unpleasant to read. So focus on the work. Focus on improvement over time. Creatives like that have been working at it for years but they got their shot and blew it out of the water. All you need is one hit for everyone to remember you. With 700  chances on goal, your odds are pretty good. So don’t worry about mastery, focus on improvement and you’ll get closer to it than anyone else. Your story has just begun. Appreciate greatness.
