Night before my 2nd marathon

Night before my 2nd marathon

Night before my 2nd marathon:

Night before my 2nd marathon.

About to sleep.

Got my 2nd marathon tomorrow.

First one was 2 years ago today.

Trained harder for that one.

Don’t feel as physically ready for this one.

Yet I feel way better.

Know what’s coming.

Have been hitting all of my Ironman training.

Improving my aerobic capacity.

Got my nutrition down.

Much better carb load.

In a better head space.

So let’s see.

Should be a good day.

Important thing is to relax.

Don’t rush.

Don’t speed up time.

Don’t overdo it.

This is not your peak race.

The peak one is in August.

So have to think of this as practice.

Practice nutrition.

Practice pacing.

Practice what it’s like to be out there with thousands of others.

Excited for the day.

Excited to see how I do.

Excited to see how my body holds up.

Goal is to beat 4:50.

Know I can do that, especially having done one already.

Key will be nutrition and pacing.

So let’s see.

Big day tomorrow.

Enjoy it.

Night before my 2nd marathon.
