There is no overnight success:
There is no overnight success.
That doesn’t exist.
Even the people we see make it when they’re young.
They had to put in work.
Sure they may have not had to spend as much time achieving what they did, but they had to work for it.
For some people, success comes early in life. For some, it comes later. For others, it never comes.
It depends on how hard you work and how lucky you get.
How much do you commit to a specific goal?
Are you working on something only for a few months, or will you spend years on a problem until you solve it?
Potentially your whole life?
Even then, maybe you’ll get recognized for your success, maybe you won’t.
That can’t stop you from wanting to do it.
Achieving what you want to achieve.
It’s in your hands.
It’s in your thoughts.
Re-reading Think and Grow Rich right now, the book that changed everything for me.
Me before reading that book vs. me after are two separate time periods in my life.
I now have clarity.
I have purpose.
I want to achieve something.
It’ll take more than a decade.
No problem.
Strap me in for the ride.
This is all part of it.
Become someone in public who builds a reputation of having good judgment.
That’s very hard to do when the world is watching.
Especially when you’re so honest.
Don’t matter, keep pushing.
All the work will pay off.
Never forget though how much work it takes.
Success is not overnight.
It’s hours, days, and months of silence working on something when no one is watching.
It’s the battle between you and your mind.
It’s challenging your self-doubt.
It’s showing up even when you’re brain is telling you not to.
It’s choosing not to listen to the imposter inside of you saying you don’t deserve this.
These feelings never get better.
You just have to do the work.
Show up every day.
Work towards a definite goal.
Whatever that may be.
I don’t care who you are. If you want to achieve success in your life, read Think and Grow Rich.
You have to.
Follow everything it tells you to do.
Commit to telling your subconscious your definitive purpose with emotion and desire.
Wait and see how it changes your life.
Was amazed to see in Mo Salah’s recent GQ profile how he talked about his favourite book – Think and Grow Rich.
Napolean Hill was the guy who changed everything in him.
Believe in yourself.
The belief you can be the best.
Setting your goals.
Making your subconscious believe it and working towards it.
I hope to accomplish a tiny fraction of what Mo Salah has achieved for himself, his country and the entire continent of Africa.
Mo’s the best player in world football right now.
He may look successful today but he knows how much time he’s put in.
How many hours he was on his own working on his craft with nobody watching him.
Committing to getting a little better.
Working to be the best version of himself he could be.
Why not do the same?
Commit to being the best version of yourself every day.
Then get to work.
Remember, there is no overnight success.
